अधिकतर अनौपचारिक और ब्रिटिश अंग्रेजी में आम है। घर में या बगीचे में आराम से समय बिताने के लिए प्रयोग होता है। अमेरिकन इंग्लिश में 'putter around' कहा जाता है।
