Definition

किसी चीज़ या व्यक्ति को हल्के से बार-बार छूना या धक्का देना, आमतौर पर उंगली या वस्तु से। यह मज़ाक में या परोक्ष रूप से आलोचना करना भी हो सकता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

अक्सर अनौपचारिक तरीके से प्रयोग होता है, खासकर जब कोई खाना खाने के बजाय उसे छेड़ता है ('poke at your food') या हल्के-फुल्के व्यवहार में। हल्की आलोचना के लिए भी इस्तेमाल होता है। 'poke' (तेज चुभाना) या 'poke fun at' (मज़ाक उड़ाना) से न मिलाएँ।
