Definition

কাউকে বা কিছু বারবার বা নরমভাবে আঙ্গুল বা কোনো বস্তু দিয়ে ঠেলা বা খোঁচানো বোঝায়। কখনো কখনো মজার ছলে কারো সমালোচনাও বোঝাতে পারে।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

অনুষ্ঠানিক নয়; খাবার নাড়াচাড়া করতে বা মজারভাবে কাউকে স্পর্শ করার জন্য বলা হয়। 'poke at someone's idea' মানে হালকা সমালোচনা করা। 'poke' (চোট/আঘাত) ও 'poke fun at' (উপহাস করা) ভেবে ভুল করবেন না।
