何か（指や物など）を特定の方向や場所に向けること。または、何かが可能性や真実を示唆する場合にも使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

直訳では方向や場所を示す時に使い、比喩的には証拠や理由を示す意味でも使います。書き言葉では「point to」「point towards」もよく使われます。
