가리키다

Definition

손가락이나 손, 물건으로 누군가나 무언가를 다른 사람들에게 보여주기 위해 가리키는 것; 비유적으로 비난하거나 지적하는 데에도 사용함.

'board'와 같이 특정 대상을 '가리키다'로 표현한다. 사람을 직접 가리키면 무례하게 들릴 수 있다. 비난이나 책임을 전가할 때도 쓸 수 있다. 'point to'와 모두 같은 의미로 쓰이진 않는다.

Please point at the picture you like best.

가장 마음에 드는 그림을 **가리켜 주세요**.

Don't point at people; it's not polite.

사람을 **가리키지 마세요**. 예의가 아닙니다.
