"plucking" in Portuguese (BR)
Definition
O ato de puxar algo bruscamente, como cabelo, penas ou cordas. Também se usa para tocar instrumentos de corda ao puxar as cordas.

Usado para remover cabelo ou penas ('plucking eyebrows', 'plucking a chicken'), e para tocar instrumentos ('plucking the guitar'). 'Plucking' é a ação contínua; o verbo é 'to pluck'. Não confunda com 'picking' (escolher) ou 'pulling' (puxar em geral).
