게임이나 연극, 영화에서 특정 캐릭터나 역할을 맡아서 조종하거나 연기하는 것.

게임에서 어떤 캐릭터로 플레이하는지, 연극이나 영화에서 역할을 맡을 때 씁니다('play as Mario', 'play as Hamlet'). 그냥 'play' 또는 'play with'(함께 놀다)와 혼동하지 마세요. 보통 뒤에 캐릭터나 역할명이 옵니다.
