Definition

सेना की एक छोटी इकाई, आमतौर पर लेफ्टिनेंट द्वारा नेतृत्व की जाती है। कभी-कभी यह सेना के बाहर संगठित टीमों के लिए भी इस्तेमाल होता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

अधिकतर सैन्य में प्रयोग होता है ('platoons of soldiers'), लेकिन कभी-कभी संगठित टीम के लिए भी। 'platoons' बहुवचन, 'platoon' एकवचन। squads या battalions के लिए नहीं।
