Definition

すでにあるものにさらに加えること、特に問題や批判、ネガティブな注目を増やす意味。多くの人が一斉に非難する場合にも使う。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に口語表現で使う。'pile on the criticism'のように否定的な内容とよく使われ、公平でないニュアンスが出ることも。'pile up'（自然に積もる）とは異なるので注意。
