Definition

কিছু ফল বা জিনিসপত্র যেমন ফল, সবজি বা কাপড় ইত্যাদি মনোযোগ দিয়ে দেখে ভালো বা পছন্দের জিনিসটি বেছে নেওয়া অথবা খারাপগুলো ফেলে দেওয়া।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

এটি সাধারনত খাবার বা পুরানো পণ্যের ক্ষেত্রেই আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'pick over the beans' বা 'pick over the clothes' বলতে ভালোগুলো বেছে নেওয়া বোঝায়; 'pick up' বা 'pick out' এর মতো নয়।
