パリサイ人とは古代ユダヤ教の厳格な律法主義で知られた宗教指導者の一派です。現代では偽善的な人を表す場合にも使われます。

歴史的には特定の宗教集団を指し、現代では「偽善者」という意味でも使われますが、日常会話ではほとんど使いません。
