手元にあるものを使って急いで何かを作ること。通常は一時的・不完全で、いろいろな部品やアイデアを寄せ集めて作る意味もある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主にカジュアルに使う語で、一時的・不完全・即興的な対処に使う（'patch together a plan' など）。理想ではない材料で作るニュアンス。単なる'put together'はこの即興性を持たない。
