Definition

ドロッとした液体などがゆっくりとしみ出すこと、または性質や感情がはっきりと現れること。

粘性のある液体がにじみ出る時によく使います。比喩的に「自信があふれる」など、感情や雰囲気が強く表れる場合も使います。早い流れや水っぽい液体には使いません。

The thick syrup began to ooze out of the bottle.
