何かを身体のすぐ近くに持っていること。たとえばポケットやカバンに入っている状態。主に身分証やお金など重要な物に使われる。

'on your person' はややフォーマル、公的・警察関連の場面でよく使われます。持ち物が実際に身につけられていることに使い、大きな物には言いません。
