一度断った酒や他の依存習慣を、しばらく我慢した後にまた始めてしまうことを指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に会話で使う口語表現です。元々はアルコール依存ですが、喫煙など他の依存症にも使われます。'fall off the wagon'は再び手を出すという意味です。
