Definition

'obituaries' का संक्षिप्त रूप, ये अखबार या ऑनलाइन प्रकाशित होने वाले उन सूचनाओं को कहते हैं जिनमें किसी के निधन की सूचना और उसका संक्षिप्त जीवनवृत्त लिखा होता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

अखबारों या बातचीत में अनौपचारिक रूप से इस्तेमाल होता है; हमेशा बहुवचन में आता है; एकवचन 'obit' है। यह केवल मृत्युसूचना वाला भाग है, अंतिम संस्कार नहीं।
