乳母や子守は、特に昔の家庭で、子供の世話をするために雇われた女性です。

「乳母」「子守」は歴史や昔話、映画で使われる表現で、現代では「ベビーシッター」や「ナニー」を使います。医療に従事する看護師とは異なります。
