何かをとても楽しみにしていて、もう待てないほどわくわくしている状態を表します。だいたい良いことを待つときによく使われます。

カジュアルな場面でよく使い、「待ちきれない」「楽しみすぎる」などの形も一般的。強い期待や興奮を示します。
