Definition

「あまり〜ない」や「そんなに〜ない」という意味で、期待よりも低い程度を強調する時に使う表現。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

やや古風・文学的で、否定的な強調に使われます。必ず形容詞や副詞の前で使います。「none too pleased」など。「not too」とは違い、より強調的です。
