날카로운 것에 의해 생긴 아주 작은 자국이나 흠집, 또는 경미한 손상을 의미함.

주로 표면에 생긴 가벼운 손상이나 흠집을 가리킵니다. 칼, 가구, 피부 등에 사용되며 'nicks and scratches', 'small nicks'와 같은 표현이 많습니다. 'Nick'(이름)이나 'in the nick of time'와는 별개입니다.
