Pequenos cortes ou marcas feitos por um objeto afiado, normalmente deixando um pequeno entalhe ou arranhão numa superfície. Também pode referir-se a danos menores.

Normalmente refere-se a danos superficiais leves, especialmente em lâminas, móveis ou pele. Expressões comuns: 'nicks and scratches'. É informal. Não confundir com o nome 'Nick' ou a expressão 'in the nick of time'.
