El sonido suave y agudo que hace un gatito o un gato. Es una forma ligera del maullido del gato.

"Mew" es mucho menos frecuente que "meow" (maullar): suele usarse para gatitos y sonidos suaves. Común en literatura u ocasiones en que el maullido es bajo o delicado. Puede ser sustantivo o verbo.
