अधिकतर तब प्रयोग होता है जब चीज़ या स्थिति समझ नहीं आती। 'can't make sense of...' कहना आम है। इसका प्रयोग किसी चीज़ को जोड़ने या बनाने के अर्थ में नहीं होता।
