実際とは違うことを、本当のようにふるまったり、遊びで想像したりすること。特に子供のごっこ遊びで使われる。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

『make believe』はごっこ遊びや空想遊びでよく使われます。正式な場ではあまり使いません。『pretend』よりも遊びの要素が強調されます。
