特にスポーツで、ボールなどを高く弧を描くように投げたり打ったりすること。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
テニスやサッカーなどスポーツで、相手の頭上を越す高いボールに使うことが多いです。日常でもやさしく高く何かを投げるときに使えます。軍事用語のロブ（手榴弾など）は一般的ではありません。
