'Lobbing' é frequente nos desportos de raquete e futebol para indicar bater ou lançar a bola em trajectória alta sobre um adversário. Também pode aplicar-se a atirar objetos suavemente por cima de obstáculos. Não confundir com o verbo genérico 'to throw'.
