Definition
スポーツなどで、相手や障害物の上を高くアーチ状に投げたり打ったりすること。時には軽く投げる意味でも使われます。

主にスポーツで使われ、『lob shot』や『ボールをロブする』などの形があります。勢いよりも高く柔らかく投げるニュアンス。カジュアル会話では軽く投げる意味にもなります。
