'Loathing' é formal ou literário; exprime ódio ou repulsa muito intensos, mais fortes que 'dislike'. Utiliza-se geralmente em frases como 'filled with loathing'. Não se usa para pequenas irritações; é bem mais intenso que 'disgust'.
