Definition

たいていの場合「little hand」はアナログ時計の短い針（時針）を指します。まれに、小さな手（特に子供の手）を意味することもあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「little hand」は、時計の読み方を子供に教える時によく使います（必ず「big hand」とセット）。小さな手の意味は珍しいです。「short hand」は使いません。

Examples

The little hand is on the 5, so it is five o'clock.

**短い針**は5を指しています。だから5時です。

Move the little hand to show three o'clock.

**短い針**を動かして3時にしてみて。

His baby has such a little hand.

彼の赤ちゃんはとても**小さな手**をしています。

If the little hand is between 7 and 8, it's about half past seven.
