किसी जगह जरूरत से ज्यादा देर तक रुकना, अक्सर बिना स्पष्ट कारण के, या किसी जगह आसपास धीरे-धीरे घूमना।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

'Linger around' अनौपचारिक है, जब कोई व्यक्ति जाने में हिचकता है या बिना उद्देश्य के आसपास रहता है। 'linger around the entrance' जैसा वाक्य आम है। 'loiter' जितना नकारात्मक नहीं है; कभी-कभी यह प्रतीक्षा को भी दर्शाता है।
