"lief" in Spanish
Definition
Una palabra antigua que significa con gusto, de buena gana o preferiblemente. Es muy rara en el inglés moderno y se encuentra principalmente en literatura antigua.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Extremadamente arcaica: prácticamente no se usa hoy en día salvo en textos antiguos o poesía. La frase 'I had as lief' significa 'preferiría'. No confundir con 'leaf' (hoja). Muy rara en inglés moderno.
