누군가 또는 무언가가 지나가도록 막지 않고 허락하다, 또는 기회나 순간을 아무 행동 없이 그냥 보내다.

Usage Notes (Korean)

직접적(지나가게 하다) 또는 비유적(기회를 놓치다) 의미로 둘 다 사용. 일상회화에서 자주 등장. '기회를 지나가게 두지 마라' 등으로도 씀.
