ドアや窓、門などがラッチ（小さな金具）でしっかり閉められている状態。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主にドアや窓、門などがラッチで閉まっている時に使う。受動態の文（例：the door was latched）が多い。「locked」（鍵をかける）よりも安全性が低い。
