Definition

動いているときに誰かや何かにうっかりぶつかること。通常は大きなけがにはならない。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

通常はインフォーマルで、軽い偶発的な衝突や接触を指します（'knock into someone on the street', 'knock into a chair'）。'knock someone out'（気絶させる）や 'run into'（偶然出会う／ぶつかる）とは区別します。
