'거리를 두다'는 주로 안전, 질병 예방, 개인 공간을 지키기 위해 사용됨. 직접적(실제로 멀리 있음) 또는 간접적(관계상 멀리함) 모두 사용 가능. 'distance yourself from'과 혼동하지 않도록 주의.
