動物や害虫などの好ましくないものが大量に広がって住みつき、問題や被害をもたらしている状態。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「infesting」は主にネガティブな場合（害獣や雑草など）に使います。人には使いません。「ねずみが家に侵入している」などで一般的です。
