मौखिक और लिखित अंग्रेज़ी में आम है। 'in the meantime' हमेशा दो घटनाओं के बीच की अवधि को दर्शाता है। 'meanwhile' समानार्थी है, लेकिन दोनों का स्थानांतरण समान नहीं है।
