都会や町からとても離れた、田舎の奥深くにある場所をカジュアルに表す言い方です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

とてもカジュアルな表現で、アメリカ英語でよく使われます。「in the sticks」「out in the middle of nowhere」と似ています。人が住んでいない完全な自然ではなく、多少人里離れた地域に使われます。
