息を止めるほど速く、休まず言ったりやったりすること。一気にしゃべる、たくさんのことを短時間で言うときによく使います。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
「言う」「読む」「答える」などと一緒によく使います。一気にというスピード感と、途中で止まらないニュアンスがあります。「in the same breath」とは意味が異なります。
