Usado para descrever estar no lugar onde Deus ou os deuses vivem, geralmente considerado um local de felicidade perfeita após a morte. Também pode expressar alegria extrema, em sentido figurado.

Pode ser literal (crenças religiosas sobre a vida após a morte) ou figurado (expressar grande felicidade: 'se sentir no céu'). Muito comum em expressões como 'descansar no céu' ou 'agora está no céu'. Raramente usado para lugares físicos reais.
