たくさんの人が話したり笑ったり動いたりしているときに生じるにぎやかな音の混ざり合い。または、混乱した雰囲気を表すこともあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「ざわめき」はやや文学的・丁寧な表現で、忙しい場所や人が集まる場での活気ある雑音に使われます。「騒音」のような不快感は少なく、むしろポジティブな雰囲気の時に用います。
