Definition

衣服やカーテンなど布の端を内側に折り返して縫った部分のこと。主に裾や端がほどけないように仕上げるために使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「裾」は主に服やカーテンなど布地の端部分について使います。「裾を縫う」「裾がほつれる」などの表現に使われ、衣類以外の縁には使いません。
