머리를 먼저 내밀고 움직이거나, 깊이 생각하지 않고 덤비듯이 행동하는 것을 뜻한다.

실제 동작(예: 물에 머리부터 들어가기)이나, 즉흥적으로(무모하게) 무엇을 할 때도 쓴다. 'jump', 'rush'와 자주 짝지어 쓴다.
