指因部分大腦供血中斷而發生的嚴重健康狀況，常導致突然虛弱、說話困難或失去意識。

這是正式醫學用語。口語中常說「中風了」。不要和「心臟病發作」混淆。常用於「中風後復原」等短語，總是指嚴重健康事件。
