誰かに対して不公平に悪く言ったり、けなしたりすること。多くは嫉妬や嫌悪感から使われる、口語的な表現。

とてもカジュアルで主にアメリカ英語やネットスラングで使われます。「don't hate on me」や「people are hating on ...」などでよく見かけます。単なる「hate」とは違い、積極的にネガティブな行動を示します。
