ガンマンとは、西部劇の時代に銃を持ち、早撃ちの腕前で有名な人物。犯罪者や保安官のこともある。

主に西部劇や物語の登場人物を指す言葉。現代日本語ではあまり使われないが、比喩的に優れた射撃手にも使われる。
