何かが完全に失敗したり、無駄になったり、だめになった場合に使います。特に計画やお金、努力が台無しになる時によく使います。

カジュアルな場面で使う。大失敗や労力・お金の無駄に対して使うことが多い。「go down the drain」と似た表現。
