Definition

무엇이나 누구에게 아주 몰두하거나 강하게 집착하는 것을 의미하며, 누군가가 무언가를 계속 바라보거나 완전히 집중할 때 자주 사용됩니다.

대부분 은유적으로 사용되며('TV에 glued to') 'be', 'stay'와 같이 쓰임. 회화체에서 자주 들림. 문자적 의미는 드물다.

The kids were glued to the TV all afternoon.

아이들은 오후 내내 TV에 **달라붙어** 있었다.

She was glued to her phone during dinner.
