Descreve alguém que costuma fazer determinada atividade ou comportar-se de certa maneira, normalmente por hábito ou tendência.

'Given to doing' é formal e algo antiquado; vem sempre seguido de um gerúndio ('given to complaining') e expressa forte tendência. Não confunda com 'used to doing' (estar habituado). Uso mais frequente em descrições escritas.
