誰かを正式に会社から辞めさせること。つまり「クビにする」こと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

イギリスのカジュアルな表現。「fire」より柔らかい印象で、会社側から従業員を辞めさせる場合に使います。自分で辞める時には使いません。
